Event Overview
Join us for a refreshing walk through the scenic Ballas Meadow Preserve! This event features:
- A 1-mile loop around a 35-acre wildflower meadow nestled within the 90-acre preserve.
- A new connector trail with a level cinder surface that crosses three bridges on its way to the Bushkill Township Trail (this segment is an out-and-back, so you don’t have to travel all the way to the BTT near Route 512).
- A return loop that circles back through the meadow.
Both trails are ADA accessible, making this event suitable for everyone.
What to Expect & What to Bring
- Trail Conditions:
- Wide, mowed meadow grass with gentle grade variations.
- The connector trail offers minimal shade—plan accordingly.
- Essentials:
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Sunhat, sunscreen, and insect repellent
- Comfortable shoes
- For Dog Owners:
- Dogs are welcome on a 6-foot leash.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Amenities:
- A portable toilet is available in the parking lot.
Directions
- From PA Route 33:
- Take the PA-512 Exit toward Bath/Wind Gap.
- If coming from the south:
- Turn left sharply onto PA Route 512 South/Moorestown Road (0.2 miles).
- Turn left onto Jacobsburg Road (0.9 miles to Kromer Road).
- Turn right onto Kromer Road (0.4 miles until Ballas Meadow Preserve is on your right).
- Meeting Point:
- Gather in the parking lot.
