About the Hike

This moderate to challenging 2-mile loop hike takes you to the breathtaking Mount Wismer viewpoint. The terrain consists of typical Poconos rocky trails, with stretches of steep climbs and an elevation gain of 271 feet.

What to Expect

• The 1.1-mile trail to the overlook is fairly level, offering a pleasant approach.
• At the overlook, enjoy panoramic views of Skytop’s West Mountain, Gravel Pond, and Spruce Mountain.
• The loop continues down the mountain, passing impressive rock formations before ascending back to the parking area.

What to Bring

• Sturdy hiking shoes
• Hiking poles (optional – we will have some available to borrow)
• Dress in layers for changing weather conditions
• Water and snacks
• Leashed dogs are welcome
• No on-site restrooms
• Leave No Trace – pack out what you bring in
