Campfire Conversations: Land Preservation
Guided Hike & Fireside Conversation at Black River Sanctuary
Join us for the first of three Campfire Conversations, a unique blend of hiking, storytelling, and conservation conversation. We’ll begin with a guided hike to the top of Black River Sanctuary, approximately 1.5 miles over rocky, rooty, and sometimes steep terrain, offering a moderate to challenging adventure and a scenic view of the surrounding area from the mountain top.
At the summit, we’ll gather around a cozy campfire setting to meet some of the Wildlands Conservancy team, including Director of Land Preservation, Dawn Gorham, and Conservation Outreach Coordinator Dennis Demara, as well as a special guest. This session will focus on land preservation efforts in the Lehigh Valley, stories about how staff and partners work to protect forests, rivers, and habitats in our region, and what you can do to help.
This is a casual, open space to ask questions, share your own stories, and engage in conversation about conservation and the natural world.
