Wildlands Conservancy is partnering with Equi-librium’s Mobile Miniature Horse Outreach Program for a truly unique event: Hike with a Mini Horse! Join Christina W. Coxe, Outreach Coordinator at Equi-librium, Inc., along with their smallest therapy horses for an educational and recreational walk at Black River Sanctuary in Bethlehem that blends the healing power of animals with the restorative benefits of nature.

Our Wildlands Conservancy educator will guide you on a 1.5 - 2 mile hike through the preserve alongside Christina and her equine companion. Please note: this trail is moderate to challenging, with rocks, roots, and some steep inclines.

Walking with a miniature horse is more than just a gentle stroll, it’s a chance to slow down, reconnect, and find balance for both body and mind. At the horse’s natural pace, you’ll be encouraged to walk mindfully, breathe deeply, and notice the world around you, from the crunch of leaves underfoot to the steady rhythm of hooves beside you.

Together, we’ll explore how time in nature, combined with the calming presence of horses, can reduce stress, improve well-being, and deepen our connection to the land and one another.
