Distance: 2.5 miles
Duration: 2 hours
Join us for a guided 2.5‑mile hike through the beautiful 159-acre Mount Nebo Regional Park, a ridge‑top preserve nestled between the Shawnee and Marshalls creeks. This route includes both the short inner loop and the longer 2‑mile outer loop marked with yellow blazes. Along the way, we’ll pass a serene pond nestled in a rocky basin, relax at benches offering peaceful rest stops, and enjoy several scenic viewpoints.
The trails are generally level, with the exception of one short but steep incline leading up to the inner loop. Portions of the hike pass near private residences—please respect their property as you enjoy the trail.
Please note:
- This outing is appropriate for all ages.
- Please bring water, snacks, insect repellant, and dress in layers for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes—trail conditions may be wet—and apply sunscreen. Hiking poles are optional; Wildlands will have a limited number available to borrow.
- Leashed dogs are welcome.
- No bathrooms are available at the parking lot.
