Be transported to earlier days of simple games and slate “tablets” at the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse. \n\nThe Hike\n\nExplore the Sandra Yerger Community Recreation Area, a former golf course now transformed into a 148-acre nature preserve.\nWalk through gentle, rolling landscapes with grassy paths and small groves of trees.\nAHD-accessible loop available.\nA great spot for wildlife viewing and, in winter, cross-country skiing.\n\nWhat to Bring\n\nSturdy footwear for the hike\nHiking poles (optional)\nCamera to capture the charm of the one-room schoolhouse\nBathrooms: Portable toilet at Woodland Hills; full restrooms at the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse\n\nThis event is part of the Get Out!
