This training will teach you the essential techniques to keep trails in top condition!\n\nWhat You’ll Learn:\n\n\n\nPruning & Clearing Trails: Learn best practices for trimming vegetation and maintaining clear, accessible paths.\nIdentifying & Correcting Trail Issues: Gain skills in addressing small trail problems such as minor erosion, uneven surfaces, and drainage concerns.\nSustainable Trail Maintenance: Understand how to maintain trails in a way that minimizes environmental impact while improving visitor experience.\nHands-On Practice: Get real-world experience working on the trails under the guidance of Wildlands Conservancy’s Stewardship team.\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n\n\nSturdy, closed-toe shoes or hiking boots\nWork gloves \nWater, snacks, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)\nLong pants and clothing suitable for outdoor work\nPruning tools -pruners, lopers, hand saws; No power tools. Wildlands will have a few tools to lend for the day. \n\nWho Should Attend:\n\nThis training is perfect for both new and experienced volunteers who want to take an active role in keeping Wildlands Conservancy’s preserves safe and accessible.
