DESCRIPTION: Campfire Conversations: Environmental Stewardship\ndata-start="262" data-end="265" /> Guided Hike & Fireside Conversation at Black River Sanctuary\n\nBundle up and join us for an afternoon of hiking, storytelling, and fireside conversation at Black River Sanctuary. From 2:00–4:00 PM, we’ll set out on a guided 1.5-mile hike to the mountaintop—a moderate to challenging trail with rocky, rooty, and occasionally steep sections. The trek will be rewarded with a scenic overlook and the warmth of a campfire at the summit.\n\nAround the fire, you’ll meet members of the Wildlands Conservancy team, including Director of Property Stewardship Carl Martin, Preserve Manager Michael Hock, and special guest Jim Apgar, Forestry and Habitat Specialist at Pocono Lake Preserve. Together, we’ll explore the theme of stewardship—how individuals, organizations, and communities can care for and sustain forests, rivers, and habitats for generations to come.\n\nThis program offers a casual, welcoming space to ask questions, share your own stories, and enjoy meaningful conversation about conservation and the natural world—complete with the cozy glow of a winter campfire.\n \nQuestions?
