DESCRIPTION: Stream Team Mill Race Park, Braden Park\n If you’re ready to go with the flow, join us as we maintain vegetative areas along streams (riparian buffers) and help ensure the survival of young, native trees in the forest buffer. These vital areas improve water quality in local communities, reduce erosion and flooding concerns, and provide habitat for wildlife.\nPark: park at Mill Race Park, 2001 Newlins Mills Rd, Easton, PA 18045\nThis site has no formal address, please follow the map link below to locate the parking area.\nhttps://goo.gl/maps/vdhJ4xfXfRTADGgm9\n( If time permits, Stream Team will visit Braden Park, a second site located at:https://maps.app.goo.gl/X9cJ8YwsAagR83nw8 )\n Volunteers will:\n\n\nMaintain tubes placed over the trees to protect them from deer\nRemove invasive vegetation\nStraighten any leaning trees and re-stake if necessary\n\nVolunteers must:\n\n\nBe 16 years or older OR be accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 16. Volunteers under 16 will not be permitted to remain onsite without a chaperone.\nBe able to work outside for the duration of the shift, on uneven ground\nWear safe footwear and clothing that can get dirty. Long-legged pants and boots are recommended- shorts, skirts, and open-toed, or slip-on shoes aren't suitable.\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\n\nParticipants should be prepared for anticipated weather conditions. Stream Team events will run rain or shine except for severe weather conditions.\nGloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.\nParticipants should bring bug spray, sunscreen, and hats as desired to protect from the elements.\nSome locations will have restroom facilities, though others will not, so participants should plan accordingly.\nSites may have tall vegetation and muddy conditions.\nStinging insects may be present, please bring allergy medications if this is a concern.\n\n\nFor details, click here: https://engage.wildlandspa.org/calendar/event/465
