On Day 2 we will meet at the Walnutport Canal Association parking lot in Walnutport and take a shuttle bus to the Jim Thorpe Train Station for put-in. We will shuttle your boat as well if you have one. Be sure to arrive with time for registration as the shuttle leaves promptly at 7:15. Once at the Jim Thorpe Train Station, we will enjoy breakfast before starting our paddle downstream. This 14-mile section is flatwater with mild rapids and navigation required, perfect for beginners and folks who want to get to know their fellow paddlers. We’ll stop at the Jim Thorpe Outfitter Beach for lunch and educational program. From here we will paddle down river until we reach the Walnutport Canal Association take-out location.

Camping requires pre- registration and will be available at Camp at Walnutport Canal Assocation lauch site.

If you need a boat, be sure to register for a canoe rental. Please note that canoes are two seaters and only 2 members of the same group may share a canoe (exceptions made for families with small children).
